Running two antivirus products on the same computer can cause system instability and degraded performance.
It is very important that any previously installed antivirus software is uninstalled from your system before proceeding with the installation of your ESET security product.
As a typical uninstall performed using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) is often insufficient, we have provided the recommended removal tools* for several other manufacturers of antivirus software.
For your convenience, these removal tools can be downloaded directly from the following sites:
NOTE: ESET NOD32 Antivirus and Smart Security can be un-installed via the Eset un-installer tool found in:
Start Menu > All programs > Eset > Eset {Product_Name} > Uninstaller
If you are upgrading from version 3 to version 4, please ensure you have un-installed version 3, before installing version 4.

1) Click the link associated with the antivirus software which is currently installed on your system. Follow the prompts which are detailed on their web sites.
-
2) After this process completes, you will need to restart your computer. You may then proceed with your installation of ESET NOD32.
NOTE: ESET does not take responsibility for any damages or loss of data caused by or during the un-installation of any antivirus software.
We only provide links to these uninstallers for your convenience. We do not support any products from other manufacturers. For support of these products, please contact the manufacturer directly.
